Inspired by John Ruskin and William Morris,
the Arts & Crafts movement of the late nineteenth
and early twentieth centuries turned against mass-
produced, machine-made goods, believing instead in traditional craftsmanship, skill and imagination.

We have outstanding Arts & Crafts collections
here in the northwest. But don’t just take
our word for it – quench your thirst for
knowledge and explore them for yourself.

This site introduces you to a handful of different
places where you can experience the pure beauty, purpose and truth of the Arts & Crafts movement.
You can also listen to curatorial introductions
to the collections here.
